Dr. Raisis began his
neurosurgical practice here in Seattle
at the Virginia Mason Clinic in 1976. In 1989, he joined Northwest
Neurological Surgery, bringing with him a superlative reputation and extensive
operative experience, particularly with acoustic neuromas. Dr. Raisis grew up
in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and attended the University of Colorado at
Boulder for his undergraduate education, and medical school. He obtained his
M.D. degree in 1970, and moved to St. Louis, Missouri where he did his surgical internship at Washington University Medical
Center. He is a product
of the University
of Michigan Neurosurgical
program, one of the most highly respected training programs in the country.
He completed his residency in 1976, obtained Board certification in 1979, and
has been in practice in Seattle since his move
from Michigan.
